Mini Bus Driver to work at Clipstone Lodge NG21 and The Grange NG20 Hours of work 30 Please note Minibus drivers must have a full, unrestricted D1 entitlement on their licence. Pay - GBP7.50 per hour dependant on age Job purpose - To transport residents to defined locations in a safe and responsible manner Key Responsibilities ?? Transporting residents and care staff to a variety of locations that will stimulate well-being ?? Ensure that all residents are secured and that all safety precautions have been followed prior to commencing journey ?? To support the role of the activity co-ordinators within the home ?? Complete mandatory training prior to commencement of the role ?? Maintain up-to-date and accurate records ?? Recording locations and mileage before and after each journey ?? To report all incidents/accidents promptly to Management ?? Responsible for the cleaning of the vehicle, this must be done in preparation for each journey ?? To be aware and adhere to all company policies and procedures outlined in the employee handbook ?? Driving company mini bus within a defined area ?? Work in line with agreed mini bus route schedule ?? Support and improve service offerings to service users across the organisation ?? To be active and encouraging at all times ?? To undertake other duties as may reasonably be required or as necessitated by changes in role and the overall business ?? Ensure Orchard is viewed positively by all parties ?? The mini bus should be kept at the defined keeper home, other homes have access to the mini bus ?? This job description is not a complete list of duties and may be amended in consultation with the post holder Job context The role requires good organisational and effective communication skills Ability to work autonomously is a pre-requisite 30 hours per week over 5 days including weekends so flexibility is required Hold a clean driving licence - all changes should be reported immediately Driving licence must include the category D1 for driving a mini bus Key challenges The role will evolve as time progresses and in line with organisational developments and key challenges will include the ability and flexibility to adapt To interface with a variety of key personnel within the company Key measures Attend Quarterly meeting with line manager Evidence of improved service delivery Accurate record keeping of journeys undertaken Person specification NVQ Level 2 in care desired or be willing to work towards Hold a 3 day First Aid Certificate or be willing to work towards MiDAS trained and registered Friendly, confident, well-presented and customer-focused Satisfactory DBS Checks Good communication , administration and organisational skills Reliable, punctual, self-motivated and a can do attitude Have a caring disposition To maintain confidentiality An understanding of old age conditions
