Community and Educational Interpreter - Derby College
This is a newly created role within the Deaf Access team. This is a unique opportunity to join a small well-established team who provide interpreting services in Derby and the surrounding area. The person would also be expected to support Deaf learners on their study programmes at various campuses.
This role is to work proactively to provide an interpreting service for internal & external D/deaf customers within education, business and medical settings across Derby, Derbyshire and the surrounding area.
The main focus of the role is to bring in commercial income to the College, but is also to provide support for D/deaf learners attending the College, employing strategies and procedures that provide inclusive person centred support, thus improving retention and achievement.
Hours: 30 hours per week/ 40 weeks per year
Salary: GBP30,000 per annum pro rata
