Funded Training for Physician Associates Now Available
Choice of 4 training locations at leading NW universities, Liverpool, Manchester, UCLan (Preston and Whitehaven).
Physician Associates (PAs) work as part of the multi-disciplinary care team. As a qualified PA you might work in a GP surgery or be based in a hospital, but wherever your location you'll have direct contact with patients and be responsible for the provision of outstanding care. Physician Associates are a new and innovative professional healthcare role that is growing within the NHS, with a starting salary once qualified of circa £30,000.
50% of your 2-year studies will be in clinical placements across the North West, in urban and rural NHS hospitals and GP clinics.
Tuition fees of £9,000 per annum and an annual travel grant of £5,000 will be funded by Health Education England.
To work as a PA, you must successfully complete a Postgraduate Diploma at one of the universities, then pass the National Examination of the Faculty of Physician Associates.
To apply you must have a minimum of a 2:2 classification in a relevant degree.
Applications are now open and you can find out more at the programme and the link to the on line application process at our website by the “Apply” button on this page.
The North West is the largest provider of Physician Associate education in Europe, delivered by experts.
