Overall Purpose of the Job

To plan and deliver timely achievement of work-based Apprenticeships/Traineeships/Functional Skills to learners on site and by travelling to their workplace and inspiring, encouraging and motivating those to successfully complete their qualification promoting spiritual, moral, social and cultural development adding economic value, embedding Equality and Diversity, Health &Safety and Safeguarding to all and strong relationships with Employers.

Have a passion for the industry, to enhance learning and knowledge to develop competent and confident leaders of the future.

Main duties and responsibilites

* Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people you are responsible for or encounter
* Build on aspirations and goals with new skills
* Manage and maintain a caseload of learners in classroom/field delivery ensuring progressive visits on every occasion with smart targets and good planning.
* Motivate and drive learners to achieve their work-based qualifications within agreed timescales
* Support the learning process through flexible learning styles,
* Produce Schemes of work and delivery plans
* Plan the assessment process with learners and employers - observe, record assessment, reviews, feedback and complete all quality assurance documentation
* Ensure learner retention is at acceptable levels
* Throughout learner qualification, provide information, advice and guidance
* Maintain paperwork to the required standard
* Monitor Health & Safety, Equal opportunities, Safeguarding and British Values within learner work-placements and update relevant documentation
* Attend Standardisation/121/CPD
* Be responsive to EQA feedback
* Represent the company at relevant events and generally supporting the Training Centre's marketing strategy.

Knowledge, Experience and Essential Skills required

* Occupational competence within relevant sector (Time served)
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills
* In-depth knowledge of work based learning and frameworks/NVQ /Functional Skills
* Planning, organisational and multi-tasking skills
* Proven track record of achieving and managing team to meet targets
* Good standard of including 5 GCSEs - English /Maths at grade C or above or equivalent
* Achieved Assessor Qualification, PTLLS Level 3/4, Level 2 Functional Skills
* Achieved IQA / V1 / D33/D34 qualification (preferred)
* The ability to work in a team and independently
* The ability to priorities, plan contingencies and adapt to changes at short notice
* Coaching/mentoring skills
* Knowledge of and Awarding Organisation
* The ability to work flexible hours and locations
* Driving license and use of own car
* DBS checked
