Supply Chain Manager
SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER STOKE ON TRENT AREA FULL TIME PERMANENT UP TO £65K DOE Our client is looking to recruit an experienced Supply Chain Manager to work at their north Staffordshire site in the Stoke On Trent area, close to Newcastle Under Lyme, Stone, Leek, Cheadle, Macclesfield and Congleton. This excellent opportunity will involve managing the supply chain of incoming components and finished product ensuring full availability of resources for manufacturing. Duties will include - Capacity planning - Development and leadership of the direct teams through regular performance reviews and formal PDR process - Reviewing of sales forecast to production capacity to meet current, incremental or new product demands and establish costs - Regular planning reviews with manufacturing and daily monitoring of attainment through the daily operations meeting - Regular performance review meetings with 3rd party warehouse / hauliers - Management of the delivery note query process and challenging any discrepancies - Resource planning with various departments to meet changes in business activity of volumes - Establishing operational and fiscal impact of potential at budget, forecast or of ad hoc commercial/ operational business changes - Providing support to the Operations Director for all strategic supply chain processes - Meeting with suppliers and customers as necessary on supply issues - Control and management of key contracts - Playing a key role in the management of slow moving and obsolete stock - Leading the development of the overall operations/supply chain improvement programme The ideal candidate for the Supply Chain Manager role must have the following: - Significant experience in Supply Chain - Extensive experience of managing staff - FMCG experience and background - Experienced in the use of an MRP system - Highly competent in the use of MS Office in particular Excel Due to the location of this role, it is advisable for applicants to have access to their own transport.
