The Role Due to our continued expansion, we have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Trials Pharmacy Dispensing Technician to join our Clinical Operations team. As the Clinical Trials Pharmacy Dispensing Technician you will have complete accountability of dispensing activities within the unit. In this role you will work with the Clinical Operations, Manufacturing, Medical, Pharmaceutical Sciences and Project Management teams to ensure that the appropriate Drug Products are dispensed and checked prior to dosing healthy volunteers on clinical trials, whilst meeting regulatory and company standards at all times. Other responsibilities include: Order, receive, store, dispense and record medication for clinical trials Maintenance of clinical trial files and all other computer and written records Temperature and expiry date monitoring Ordering of clinical trial materials Produce study specific dispensing guides for all clinical trials Set up Pharmacy Trial Site Files for new studies Ensure stock levels maintained appropriately Review medication usage with the medical team and update stock list to meet DDU activities Support study drug accountability visits Support GMP manufacturing activities as required Perform ad hoc duties/ projects as required The Candidate The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills both written and verbal. You will be a qualified Dispensing Technician and have relevant experience within either UK hospital pharmacy, community pharmacy or clinical trials unit. You must be registered with the GPHC and hold NVQ level 3 Pharmacy services or BTEC in Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent. The desired candidate will also have knowledge of legislation relating to Good Manufacturing Practice and Good Clinical Practice.
