A newly formed transport company who are part of a large and successful international business are now seeking to add an experienced Sales Executive. Based in their transport department, you will be responsible for building up new business, managing existing accounts by answering any queries and assisting with bookings. The successful candidate will be part of a competitive bonus scheme, access to a pool car that will be converted to a company car down the line, training development and promotional prospects as the company is rapidly expanding. Working from 0900-1730, Monday to Friday and based in Nottingham, you will successfully ensure the smooth-running operation of the Palletways contract, follow up leads and meet sales targets. The role requires high levels of sales promotion, excellent customer service, experience in the transport industry with knowledge of Palletways being highly advantageous. As the Sales Executive your duties will include: - Managing the day to day operation on the Palletways contract of the business - Creating marketing material for the business including Palletways branding with the help of the Logistics Manager and Design Studio - Visiting regional industrial areas as agreed from a logistics perspective to personally deliver marketing material - Completing sales calls to generate new business - Systematically following up marketing distribution - Following up leads, and visits if required with Commercial Manager - Day to day liaison with current customers on quotations and service requirements - Listening to customer requirements and presenting appropriately to make a sale. - Managing customer expectations in terms of delivery/prices. - Maintaining a professional relationship with every customer. - The Ability to work to sales targets. To be a successful Sales Executive you will have the following skills and experience: - Good telephone manner. - Good customer service skills. - Good IT skills: especially with Microsoft packages (Excel, Word, Outlook) - Positive outlook, good communicator and team worker - Experience in transport industry is ideal - Knowledge of Palletways would be advantageous - Driving licence is a must - Have the ability to manage your time effectively. - Persistence and motived approach to sales. The Sales Executive will be working from 9:00am-5:30pm, Monday to Friday. In return, the Sales Executive will receive a salary from £20,000 - £24,000 per annum (dependent on experience) as basic and competitive bonus structure in place.
