GC80 - Procurement Delivery Co-ordinator Salary: Competitive Location: Derby Overview: The successful Procurement Delivery Co-ordinator will ensure effective execution of all transactional procurement processes for products and services across the business, including the raising of Purchase Orders and undertaking purchasing activities for the purchasing lifecycle. The successful Procurement Delivery Co-ordinator will provide a high quality procurement delivery support service to the business and will support the Procurement Managers, and Lead Buyers in executing the category strategy. Key Responsibilities: • To be responsible for placing orders for all goods and services, obtaining estimates and quotations in accordance with the procurement procedures • To ensure delivery deadlines are adhered to and are in accordance with the business expectations • To manage order changes with suppliers to avoid cost and delivery delays • To raise purchase orders, ensuring all requests are correctly approved and actioned promptly to meet critical dates for supply To be fully conversant with the Causeway PO system and how it interfaces with internal and external customers • To review orders and resolve supplier delays/discrepancies, provide regular feedback relating to all backorders • To work with Accounts Payable to ensure timely resolution of invoice / delivery queries • To manage the daily expedite and supplier delivery issues across the entire supplier base. • To ensure financial records of all transactions made are accurate and up to date including reconciliation of credit card purchases and VAT receipts. • To assist in implementing new procurement methods to provide a more efficient service to the client groups and assist in the transition to the new procurement system. • To maintain a high level of customer and output focus. • To produce statistical information and maintain weekly, monthly & annual purchasing • To ensures compliance to all category management and procurement policies • To assist in the proper classification of all category spend according to standard classification • To liaise and provide support to the relevant category/ business areas resolving queries • To supports the identification and communication of potential alternative suppliers • To assist in the preparation of reports, bids and invitations to tender at both the estimating and procurement stage of our process • To work with business stakeholders to ensure that best practice procurement processes are followed at all times. • To support Buyer and Lead Buyers in Support day to day procurement activities • Where applicable, support Buyers and Lead Buyers in negotiations with suppliers and the agreement and management of contracts • To support the implementation of new process and initiatives • To perform any reasonable duties as requested by The Lead Buyer and wider Procurement team. Qualifications and Experience: Essential • Excellent organisational and administration skills with experience of dealing with suppliers and high volume workloads. • A self-starter with an understanding of transactional services buying. • Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office packages, ERP systems and ideally current purchasing tools. • Confidence and commitment to providing a high quality, professional service. • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels internally and externally • Ability to prioritise work tasks to satisfy customer requirements. • Adaptable and flexible in approach to work • Effective time management and organisational skills • Ability to work well under pressure • Tenacity, self-reliance and the ability to work well in a team • Commitment to increasing efficiency while maintaining quality; • Ability to plan and prioritise effectively when carrying out multiple simultaneous projects; • Outstanding organisational skills and commitment to detail and accuracy; • Able to work collaboratively with people across various departments and locations; Desirable • Educated to A level standard (A, B or C grades) or equivalent • Qualified or working towards membership Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CIPS) membership • Desire and attributes to develop to Buyer / Procurement Management level Experience of achieving successful negotiations This job was originally posted as
