Learning and development is important to the business. You will receive training on Paragon and Microlise if required, as well as more formal training to ensure that you succeed in your role. The Role: As a Transport Planner, you will co-ordinate the delivery of customers’ products, ensuring they arrive on-time and in the most cost-effective way possible. Ensuring compliance with all H&S and transport legislation, you will: - Plan collections and deliveries across multiple sites - Help to plan for new customers, delivery frequencies and changing routes - Produce and communicate daily transport plans - Liaise with Drivers regarding any delays or issues - Source local agency Drivers and sub-contractors when required - Help to resolve customer queries and any complaints About You: To be considered, you will need: - Experience of working in a busy transport operations environment - Knowledge of driver hours, tachograph and WTD legislation - Excellent geographical knowledge - Strong communication skills and a clear, confident telephone manner - The ability to work under pressure in a time-critical environment A driving licence would be beneficial to your application, as would experience of the following: transport planning and management systems, such as Paragon Routing and Scheduling software or the Microlise Telematics and Transport Management System. Other companies may call this role Transport Planner, Route Planner, Logistics Co-ordinator, Transport Co-ordinator, Logistics Administrator or Dispatch Co-ordinator. Our client is eager to hear from candidates who have worked as a Logistics Assistant, Transport Route Planner, Delivery Route Planner, Transport Scheduler or Logistics Planner.
