This post represents an exciting opportunity for a keen individual to join a team of staff in Keele University’s highly rated School of Medicine.
You will administer postgraduate surgery and anatomy courses delivered within the state of the art Keele Anatomy and Surgical Training Centre, based in the David Weatherall Building. This will include being present on the day(s) of courses to register delegates, problem solve, and help prepare and clear up the rooms. The role will have a substantial externally-facing element, and flexibility over hours is essential, since courses will frequently start early and/or finish late. You will work in the Postgraduate administrative team on a variety of tasks which may include administering the Masters in Medical Science (Anatomical Sciences) intercalated degree course.
You will possess a minimum of 4 GCSEs (or equivalent), at Grade C or above, including Maths and English along with either an ECDL/NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration/CLAIT Plus/RSA 2 or have significant relevant work experience in an administrative environment. Experience of working within a team and using the internet, email and Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel is also essential. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills teamed with an excellent approach to customer service. The ability to organise and administer meetings, including minute taking, will be necessary as will previous experience of using record systems and data input.
