Technical Support Engineer (field based) / Nottinghamshire / Permanent / Excellent salary and benefits Scorpio Technology is currently recruiting a Technical Support Engineer (field based) to work with one of the world’s top technology consultancies specialising in energy control and display units for industrial and automotive applications. The Technical Support Engineer will provide customers with high quality support on the full range of companies electronic control products as well as supporting the internal production, engineering, and sales teams by providing product development guidance. Technical Support Engineer Responsibilities: · Providing customers with technical product support via telephone, email and face-to face on a wide range of electronic products such as controllers · Delivering training sessions on the product range covering technical functions and applications. · Training customers at their site during commissioning of equipment · Trouble-shooting product installations at customer sites · Preparation of technical documentation including product manuals and training instructions · Development guidance and completion of comprehensive testing on new products · Technical support to Internal teams including; Sales & Marketing, Production and Engineering · Maintenance of Technical Data Reports Technical Support Engineer Skills / Experience: · Educated to Degree level in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent by industry experience · High level of programming experience in both C and CODESYS. Understanding of CAN and other networks including Ethernet · Knowledge of PCB hardware and embedded software · Excellent communication skills · Ability to operate under own initiative as well as possessing strong team working skills · Ability to pick up technical product information · Strong IT skills with the ability to use MS Office including Work, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook · Confident presentation skills and experience of delivering training sessions on technical products With facilities in 4 continents and a client base in over 100 countries worldwide, the company are an established brand that has gotten stronger every year since their founding in the 1970’s.
