SEN Teaching Assistant - The Person

A graduate with a degree in Psychology and experience working with SEN is required for this SEN Teaching Assistant role. Previous school based experience is not necessary, you may have acquired skills working with autism and other SEN in different settings (e.g. adults, NHS, vulnerable people) which will transfer into a school environment. Strong communication, self-motivation and resilience is key to this role.

SEN Teaching Assistant - The Role

You will be working in a Year 1 classroom, supporting an autistic child with 1:1 interventions, working alongside the teacher and SENCO to deliver his learning plans. You will work school hours, Monday-Friday, leaving you time to keep other part-time commitments if you desire. The role is for the rest of the academic year, giving you a sense of job security.
