This Primary School in Sheffield is searching for an ambitious Psychology graduate who has gained a 2:1 or higher in their degree. The ideal candidate for this position will have previous experience working with children, preferably with children with ASD or other Special educational needs. You will be an aspiring educational psychologist with a particular passion for providing support for children with Autism. You must be both empathetic and resilient in nature to be successful as a 1:1 Autism support assistant.

As a 1:1 Autism support assistant you will be working exclusively with a boy who is entering year 2. He is on the Autism spectrum and has both behavioural and communication barriers which inhibits both his learning and others around him.

The School has a reputation for using graduates in these key support roles and has seen many of these go on to be accepted on teacher training or educational psychology courses. In this schools Inclusion team, you will work closely with the SENCO who will provide you with all the support and training you need to provide effective support for the child.
