This graduate teaching assistant role will initially involve supporting the class teacher within the classroom, helping to get resources together and helping learners with misunderstandings. The role will also involve holding small intervention group sessions with up to the maximum of 5 learners per session helping them to gain knowledge and skills within the chosen subject. As your confidence and knowledge grows you will have the opportunity to take some cover lessons and even support teachers with planning and assessment. The knowledge you will gain on the job is invaluable to help you achieve your future goal of becoming a successful teacher! You will have access to the head of your subject department as well as outstanding teachers who will be your mentors throughout the academic year whilst you're gaining lots of experience.
