Graduate Teaching Assistant- The Graduate

If you are a recent English graduate with a passion for education then this position is tailor-made for you. You must have graduated with a 2:1 or higher in an English degree and have excellent curriculum knowledge. Ideally, you will have had prior experience working with students aged 11-16 either through academic tutoring or any other context. As well as being highly academic you must be both empathetic and passionate in nature in order to effectively motivate the students to do the best they can.

Graduate Teaching Assistant- The Role

In this graduate teaching assistant role, you will be joining the schools English department and will play an integral part. You're primary responsibility will be to provide booster sessions and interventions for a range of students who need extra support to reach their full potential. You will be working closely with both struggling students who require extra support to reach the critical C grade at GCSE as well as those who are aspiring to achieve the top A and A* grades. You must be able to find innovative ways to get the most out of a range of students from a range of backgrounds.
