Equip is an alternative education provision for young people aged between 11 and 16 who have difficulty accessing mainstream education. We are looking for experienced Maths, English and ICT Teachers to teach pupils up to GCSE grade. Maths and English will be taught to GSCE level and ICT will be OCR or BTEC qualifications.

The successful individuals must have good subject knowledge and be able to teach up to KS4 students of varied abilities. The successful candidates will be enthusiastic, dynamic Teachers and have a passion for inspiring students to reach the highest standards.

You will be responsible for:

·         Schemes of work

·         Lesson plans

·         Delivering lessons so the students take the most away with them

·         Marking

These are part time positions so would suite retired teachers or possibly those looking to supplement their income. You would be teaching groups of up to 10 pupils using a combination of computer technology and traditional methods. It is expected that you would work between 12 and 15 hours per week but this is negotiable.

Skills and experience required:

·          You must hold QTS status (however these positions are also open to NQT’S, Newly Qualified Teachers)

·          A passion for working and supporting children’s learning

·          Strong communication skills that can be demonstrated by an ability to build relationships with other professionals

·          Previous UK experience working within a school environment

·          A friendly caring nature

·          The capacity to identify and target specific, individual needs

·          Keen to learn and develop professionally

·          Create a supportive environment that nurtures and stimulates positive attitudes to encourage learning and development.
