Internal Auditor

In line with our continued growth, our clients Internal Audit Team are growing and they have two newly created Internal Auditor opportunities with one role taking responsibility for the South of England and Wales and the second position taking responsibility for the North on England and Scotland.

As an Internal Auditor you report into the Internal Audit Manager and will be responsible for delivering a planned compliance audit programme, principally in our clients veterinary practice division of circa 400 sites in the UK. You will be a key contributor in providing independent assurance that controls, checks and balances within the financial and operational practice environments are functioning and performing appropriately.

If successful, some of your key accountabilities will include:

  • Completing compliance audit reviews.
  • Measuring compliance to standard operating procedures.
  • Reporting compliance audit results daily to regional operational management teams.
  • Educating staff regarding operational procedures.
  • Encouraging the closure, in partnership with regional and practice management teams, of agreed audit recommendations raised in reviews.
  • Project work in alignment with the Internal Audit Manager, such as policy development and audits in other business divisions.

To be successful, you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Either proven internal audit/compliance audit/similar experience OR proven experience within the operation and management of veterinary practices with a strong interest in audit and process compliance.
  • Experience of multi-site business environments and managing internal stakeholder relationships across multiple sites and locations.
  • Competent I T skills, particularly with MS Office products - Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Outlook.
  • The ability to communicate and influence stakeholders at all levels across an organisation.
  • A passion for customer service and continuous improvement and embracing change.
  • Full UK driving license (or equivalent).


Locations:

Internal Auditor - South or England and Wales
This is a field based role and you will primarily be auditing sites across South and Central England along with South Wales. A typical working week will involve travel to sites across the region (4 days a week) along with home based working (1 day a week). Due to the size of the territory, you will likely be required to overnight one day a week. You will also be required to Head Office, Norfolk and to attend key meetings/locations outside of region (such as Northern Ireland) on occasion.

Internal Auditor - Northern England and Scotland
This is a field based role and you will primarily be auditing sites across North and Central England along with Scotland. A typical working week will involve travel to sites across the region (4 days a week) along with home based working (1 day a week). Due to the size of the territory, you will likely be required to overnight one day a week. You will also be required to Head Office in Norfolk and to attend key meetings/locations outside of region (such as Northern Ireland) on occasion.
